Olubunmi Abejirin

President

Olubunmi. M .Abejirin joined AIESEC-in-Ilorin in 1999 where she won the baby AIESECer of the year and went ahead to serve as VPCD 2000-2001 where she held the first Business Partnership Forum. She has served in various capacities in AIESEC namely, Coordinator AIESEC Alumni in Jos, National Vice President Projects-AAN, Member Board of Advisors AIESEC-in-Ilorin and most recently Director Membership-AAN.

A graduate of Economics Education from the University of Ilorin and a Masters in Peace and Conflicts Studies from the University of Ibadan, She has attended numerous courses and seminars leading to certifications from Phillips Consulting, Lagos Business School and Harvard University in Boston USA.

Olubunmi Abejirin is the Head of Customer Experience , Airtel Nigeria. Prior to assuming this position, she was the Retail Head, South Region, Airtel Nigeria.

Bunmi has over 16years cognate experience in the telecommunications industry evolving from retail to channel distribution to high value segment management in Glomobile Nigeria and Airtel Networks Nigeria respectively. 

She is currently responsible for customer experience transformation in Airtel and has over a short period successfully harmonized OMNI channel customer interaction with the brand.

She bagged a B.Ed in Economics Education at the University of Ilorin and later obtained a Masters in Peace and Conflict Studies from the University of Ibadan. She has attended several leadership development programs and is holder of a Certificate in Building Strong Alliances and Organizations from Harvard University in Boston, USA.

In fulfilling her passion for youth leadership development, Bunmi volunteers as the Director of Marketing and Communications for AIESEC Alumni Africa. She is also Vice President AIESEC Alumni Nigeria, where she is deeply involved in executing youth development programs as well as mentoring initiatives.

Olasubomi Sofowora

VP / Projects

Olasubomi is an accomplished Brand Communications expert and Social Impact Advocate with over fifteen years of extensive experience. She has a proven track record of building, leading, and nurturing brands, developmental programs, and teams across diverse industries, particularly in the Food & Agro-Allied sector, education, and the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion space. She is the Director of Communications at 1MT Cares and her role spans across leading the overall relationship building and communication between 1 Million Teachers and its stakeholders whilst facilitating thought leadership, collaboration and brand building opportunities. She also played a pivotal role in the establishment of the Muhammad Sanusi II(MSII) SDG Initiative which is one of the programs under the 1MT’s umbrella and this stemmed from her position as an advisor to His Highness Muhammad Sanusi II in his role as one of the 17 United Nations SDG Advocate.

She was the Extension Services & Knowledge Management Manager at Flour Mills of NigeriaPlc (FMN), where she led the design and execution of Value Chain Development programs. Thisrole followed her nearly five-year tenure as the Brand Marketing & Program Manager of theAgro-Allied Division at FMN. Before joining FMN, Subomi spent six years in the advertising industry, managing accounts for various leading brands across different sectors. She also worked with Food Concepts Plc., handling the marketing and PR activities for the ChickenRepublic and Butterfield brands.

‘Subomi also served as the Chairperson of the Flour Mills of Nigeria (FMN) Women Network, which was set up to improve gender diversity and promote women development within the organisation. During her tenure she was able to scale up the activities of the network leading to FMN receiving a special Recognition by IFC in Women’s Empowerment & Leadership and for Championing Childcare under the  Nigeria 2 Equal programme.

‘Subomi has a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics with a major in Extension and Rural Development from the Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta. She also has a master’s degree in management from the University of Lagos, a certificate in Business SustainabilityManagement from the University of Cambridge, UK and was a Fellow of the Advanced Leadership in Social Impact Fellowship at Queen’s University, Canada.

She is the initiator of Woven Impact Network; a non-for-profit organisation set up to systematically tackle developmental issues with initiatives that are primarily focused on empowering grassroots women. She is the Vice President Projects of AIESEC Alumni Nigeria, sits on a couple of boards and volunteers as a facilitator & mentor with the FATEFoundation amongst other impact-based activities.

Marcel Mba

Director, Communication & Marketing

Marcel is a Supply Chain and Business Development professional with over 20 years’ experience spanning, Supply Chain, Sales & Business Development, Entrepreneurial development and Social Enterprise.

He is the Founder / Chief Business Officer of Alpine Supply Chain Solutions Ltd

Marcel joined AIESCEC in 1994 and at his time served as member of several Organising Committees as well as Organising Committee President for 2 very successful committees, leading to Lagos LC instituting a 10 year Roll-call plaque of best OCPs of which he was the first. He subsequently served as a National Coordinator and Trainer at AIESEC in Nigeria, as well as Exchange Facilitator at AIESEC in Mannheim, Germany and Executive Committee Support Member at AIESEC in Katowice, Poland

Marcel started his career in 1999 as a pre-NYSC staff at African Alliance Insurance Company before proceeding on an Internship at Bank Energetyki S.A., Radom, Poland. He later became Co-Founder/Business Development Manager at Ideasoft Technologies Ltd, after which he joined Red Star PLC (FedEx) in 2002, where he served in various capacities from Commercial Executive / Coordinator, Red Star Support Services Ltd Manager, District Manager, Regional Manager Red Star Express PLC, and Head of Sales – Red Star Logistics Ltd, position he held until his resignation in August 2016, to join Alpine Supply Chain Solutions Ltd.

Marcel is a graduate of Actuarial Science from University of Lagos. He has attended (and facilitated) several trainings and seminars in Nigeria and abroad.

Abiodun Kolade

Biodun’s journey in Human Resources exemplifies the fusion of education, experience, and a commitment to leadership development. With over 15 years in the field, he has become a respected HR professional known for his strategic approach to complex organizational challenges across various industries in Nigeria.

Graduating with a degree in Political Science from the University of Jos, Biodun has complemented his academic background with professional certifications, including ACIPM,GPHR, SHRM-SCP, and a recent qualification as a Certified Professional Coach. These credentials reflect his dedication to remaining at the forefront of HR best practices.Before founding Colad Gray Consulting Limited, an HRTech company providing subscription-based HR services and Payroll software to SMEs and startups across Africa, Biodun gained extensive experience in the Oil & Gas and Consulting sectors. His entrepreneurial venture addresses a critical market need while leveraging his years of expertise.

Biodun’s leadership skills were cultivated during his time with AIESEC, where he began in 2001. His progression through roles such as Local Committee President and Member Committee VicePresident for People Development highlights his commitment to personal and organizational growth. His international exposure through AIESEC has further shaped his approach to HR.

Throughout his career, Biodun has led impactful projects, including developing HR systems, managing contract labor for oil and gas companies, and designing competency frameworks. He is particularly adept at handling organizational restructuring and redundancy management with professionalism and empathy.
